Parent Help Needed

Posted on Sep 15 2009 - 7:22am

Hello Troop 113 Parents,

Philmont Crew Tracking

Posted on Jul 6 2009 - 11:25am
Our Philmont Crew will be using a Spot Device (www.findmespot.com) to track our trip.

You can view our tracking info at http://share.findmespot.com/shared/gogl.jsp?glId=0xSSlBQafE4hGah6A1uqnlclxHD8B9EOA

This tracking is just for fun. Don't worry if we miss some check-ins or if transmitting stops altogether. This could happen because of dead batteries, loss of signal, malfunction of the device, website or service issues, misplacing the device, or any number of reasons. It does not indicate that we aren't having a great time so don't worry if this doesn't work as planned.

Details:
(1) We'll be tracking every 20 minutes or so while hiking/touring.
(2) I'll transmit an "OK" each day when we make camp to mark our camping spot.
(3) The log is limited to the past seven days. When we get home I'll make a map (with photos) that encompasses our entire trip.

So save the link and follow our progress.

We leave Thursday but won't hit the trail for a couple of days.
